All sorts of stuff really, including:

We like a bit of charity work here at Act.  This Saturday (January 21st 2012), Anna is taking part in a charity Dodgeball match for Action Against Cancer.  You can check out the facebook group for more info and to donate to this amazing cause.

The Haymarket Hotel hosted a lovely and very festive Christmas party last night.  Anna particularly enjoyed the lobster buffet and berry cocktails, which went down almost too well...Always a favourite of ours, the Haymarket smashed it - thanks Firmdale!

The recently-opened Tea Room at the Arts Theatre in Leicester Square is our new favourite place to hang ten.  David & Anna sampled the afternoon tea this week, and can vouch not only for it's extreme tastiness, but also for it's cracking value - £6 for a gorgeous cakestand full of tasty treats, and a cuppa.  Good Work Arts Theatre folk.

Daisy & Anna saw Ghost at the Piccadilly Theatre on Friday night.  We used up our crying allocation for the month, and needed emergency wine afterwards - in a good way.  check out the website for some gorgeous tracks and to book tickets.

Love's Kitchen: Alan (our MD) started work on producing this bucolic British romcom before he joined Act in 2008.  The film, which stars Dougray Scott, Claire Forlani, Michelle Ryan, Peter Bowles, Simon Callow, Lee Boardman and Gordon Ramsay, has been selected to open indie filmfest “Dances With Films” in LA on June 2nd.  According to Alan, "Simon Callow, whose tour de force (Daily Mail) Being Shakespeare is an Act co-production, steals the show somewhat - but then he often does".  We're looking forward to seeing the film back in Blighty for its UK premiere on June 24th.

Dress Circle, on Monmouth Street, is a theatrical institution. So when we heard it was in trouble, and facing possible closure, we were distraught. If you haven’t been to Dress Circle, go. Immediately. If you have been, go again. Immediately.  Dress Circle 57/59 Monmouth Street, London, WC2H 9DG.    DRESS CIRCLE: 57/59 Monmouth Street, London, WC2H 9DG.

Spring.  We like Spring very much.  Lots of our long-awaited projects are coming in to bloom, and 2011 is looking promising.  Also, it's now acceptable to have a spritzer at lunchtime, as we're simply taking advantage of the weather...right?

The Haymarket Hotel is our hotel crush du jour.  Tea in the Library there is an unrivaled treat, and we recently wolfed down the most delicious canapés that ever there were at a lovely industry bash.  Oh, and did we mention how terribly convenient it is for Flare Path, currently showing next door at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket...

We like Twitter quite a lot at the moment.  It's an instantaneous way of getting thoughts from critics, thus proven by Lyn Gardner (The Guardian) tweeting about JOURNEY'S END: "David Grindley's revival of WW1 play Journey's End still amazingly powerful, and not a puppet or a horse in sight."

When the last sliver of Christmas cake was scoffed in our office, we began to get sweaty palms at the thought of no daily dose of baked goods.  We were saved and inspired, though, when we read this week's Stylist, and found a delicious  feature on Afternoon Tea.  First on the (fantasy) list is The Spatisserie at  The Dorchester.  Now, how can we swing that on expenses...

Gabriel Prokofiev runs a brilliant club night at The Horse & Groom in Shoreditch. Check out the website: www.nonclassical.co.uk You may even find us throwing our bad selves around the dance-floor if you're very lucky.

We think this website read our minds: www.greatlittleplace.com.  If you're tired of Groundhog Day-style weekends in London, check it out!

The Bush Theatre is one of our favourite London Fringe venues.  They've just announced yet another hugely brilliant new season; check it out at www.bushtheatre.co.uk
